Single and Double Ferrule Fittings
The Fluid Controls® DIN fitting is a three-piece connection element, consisting of a union nut, a ferrule, and a body. The ferrule is case-hardened using a proprietary, patented process, ensuring that its cutting edge embeds into the tube wall as the nut is tightened. This “bite” or “engagement” represents the core functional principle of the connection and is the result of a carefully engineered combination of geometry and material technology.
The single- or double-edge ferrule design provides sequential cutting action, compensating for wall thickness tolerances. The result is a permanently leak-proof connection capable of withstanding high pressure impulses and severe vibration.
